WhatsApp is rolling out a new AI-powered group icon that allows users to generate unique group display photos using Meta AI. The feature, currently available for beta testers, enables users to create customized icons by providing a simple description, which AI then converts into an image.
According to a WABetaInfo report, this tool aims to help users personalize their group chats without needing to manually search for or upload an image. Instead, AI-generated icons will visually represent the group’s theme, making it easier to distinguish between different chats.

Reports suggest that some users with the latest stable version of WhatsApp from the Google Play Store have already accessed this feature. This indicates that WhatsApp may be extending the rollout beyond beta testers.
